The Kimball Farms subdivision is comprised of over 600 single-family homes and over 200 townhomes (country homes). The community is part of Dundee Township in Kane County, and is in School District 300.
The subdivision sponsors two annual garage sales. The first occurs the weekend before Memorial Day weekend. The second occurs the weekend after Labor Day weekend.
The community is located just east of Randall Road – minutes away from shopping at Algonquin Commons and five minutes north of I-90. The subdivision is situated amongst over 30 acres of wetlands and features landscaped boulevards, entryways and cul-de-sac islands. Randall Road Marsh, part of the Forest Preserve District of Kane County, is adjacent to the north end of the community. Greater Raceway Woods, Schweitzer Woods and Binnie Forest Preserve provide additional places for passive recreation a few minutes away. Two community parks, Liberty Park and Grandview Park, are located on the south and north sides of the subdivision. A bike path on the north side of the subdivision connects to several other local paths. Liberty Elementary School is adjacent to the south side of the community.
